I think we should wash it. here in the Philippines there is a TV program that is recommended to use vinegar to clean most things. its good to remove stains and odors. Rinse only

Many of them. (About half a package) Pour on the carpet after cleaning to dry completely before stain. Wait overnight and vacuum in the morning.
